About the project
Motivation for designing a self-care handbook for students came from disagreement with general society’s attitude towards self-help genre and life skills education, and also from a wish to help my fellow students in coping with their everyday problems.
Main goal of the project was to raise target group awareness about universal problems of its generation and to introduce them to the basic principles of life skills, due to the teachings of various philosophers, psychologists etc.
First step was to interview students about their problems in this moment of their lives. From the research certain themes were derived, which were then organised in three categories; self, work and relationships.
In designing a handbook, three categories were divided by colours and signs that code the whole publication. That kind of organization is based upon intuitive reading, observation of visuals and graphs, which then encourage contemplation about certain themes.
