Fences and windows

About the project
The book is a collection of newspaper articles written by Naomi Klein at protests. The main idea on which design was based was to present immediacy of situation by using expressive pastel typography, in a manner of protest signs and posters. The book is divided into three subcategories, due to dichotomy of the theme and the title of the book – fences and windows and first part which combines both. Parts of the book marked as windows express opportunities for alternative ideas and it is visualised by clear and distinctive layout with pastel marks that points out important sentences and statements.
On the other side, parts of the book about fences are designed so the content is hard to read, which is a visual manifestation of exclusion.
